Brighton College defeat Epsom College in a tense final to become the inaugural winners of the Norton Rose Reigate Charity 7s 2011!

Congratulations to Brighton College who lifted the Norton Rose Cup for the very first time by beating a strong Epsom College team (21-14) in a highly competitive final. For Brighton, their star player and Captain Joe Beckett went on to be awarded the highly prized “Kukri Player of the Tournament”.
Elsewhere, the Plate winners were Oaklands College; Shield winners were London Oratory; and Bowl winners were King’s Canterbury.
In the Girls’ Competition, Epsom College’s co-educational strength shone through as their ladies triumphed over Wisbech 19-10 in an entertaining final. The Plate Competition was won in confident style by Christ’s Hospital who beat Hurstpierpoint College 30-0. Congratulations go to Rochelle Smith of Epsom College who was awarded the “Kukri Player of the Tournament”.
Special mention must go to all the referees that gave a very professional performance throughout the day. In particular, a number of schools were lucky enough to have Chris White taking charge of their matches.
