about the school
Reigate St Marys was formed in 1950 by the merger
of the preparatory department of Reigate Grammar School
and the
choristers of St Mary's Church. In 2003, the school returned
to its former status as the Kindergarten and junior department
of Reigate Grammar School.
The school retains its own traditions and autonomy under the
supervision of the Board of Governors of Reigate Grammar School.
The two schools work closely together and collaborate in many
areas.
The Godfrey Searle Choir Trust offers a choral scholarship
to each chorister. The choir contributes to
the schools rich combination of musical prowess, academic
excellence and sporting endeavour.
In drawing on our Christian values we aim to nurture the
qualities of caring for one another, of integrity, tolerance
and mutual understanding. These are
fundamental to a good education and help us to develop the
warmth and sense of purpose which are the characteristics
of our great little school.
