art

The art syllabus offers a broad and balanced education in art and design. We aim to enthuse and stimulate, providing continuity and progression along with both depth and breadth of experience on areas of 2D and 3D work. The visual elements (line, shape, colour, etc) are introduced through looking at practical skills, developing sensitivity and powers of observation, and studying the work of artists in a wide range of media.

Pupils are encouraged to take pride in their work, enabling all to achieve success. They develop a wide range of skills and knowledge of materials and techniques, and have the opportunity to explore their own ideas.

Pupils' work is displayed throughout the school, in celebration of their efforts, and work in class is complemented by after school clubs.
