Music at Reigate St. Mary's benefits hugely from the happy working relationship between the music department and the Godfrey Searle Choir.

Our music lessons start from age three, with rhythm work, singing and musical games. By age eleven, pupils are able to perform and compose a wide range of both vocal and instrumental music using keyboards, computers and acoustic instruments. Under the guidance of ten visiting instrumental specialists, about 70 children have individual lessons in instruments including piano, voice , all the main orchestral instruments, and electric guitar. Students perform regularly in assemblies and local music festivals and are encouraged to take graded examinations.

Outside the classroom, we offer junior and senior choirs, a jazz band, guitar group and recorder group. We perform a musical at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill each year, and in 2005 we took our prodcution of Ragamuffin Man to the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
