Meet The Team

Sean Davey

Development Director – Sean Davey BSc, MInstF (Cert)
Sean is the new Development Director at Reigate GS having taken over from John Manfield in September 2010. As well as leading the Foundation and Alumni Office he is also part of the senior leadership team that is responsible for the strategic development of the school.

Sean is from the teaching profession and has for many years been involved with school development, including fundraising and Alumni activities at Christ’s Hospital near Horsham, where his wife Julie is a Housemistress. He is currently completing his MA in Charity Management and is a certified member of the Institute of Fundraising.

Elsewhere, Sean is a current member of the RFU Elite Referee Unit and regularly takes charge of Aviva Premiership matches, Heineken Cup and was the man in the middle for the ‘Help for Heroes’ match at Twickenham. Not surprisingly, he is a great fan of sport having played for Bedford RUFC and a brief spell with Sheffield Wednesday FC. He is a keen cricketer, cyclist, golfer and skier. Meanwhile, he has a passion for music and drama and would claim that his career highlight was playing the role of Jupiter in Offenbach’s ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’, though the staff rock band came a close second! When not working, Ali enjoys cooking and entertaining, walking, skiing, sailing (dead calm only!), music and family life. She runs to keep fit but is not sure if this is for enjoyment!
