Network Reigatian is a scheme run by the Foundation and Alumni Office to help RGS students with their career choices while they are at school and beyond, and to encourage networking between Reigatians.
University links
Over 300 Reigatians currently studying at university have agreed to provide details about their course and university to Sixth Formers - an invaluable source of extra information to supplement official brochures and websites. Most contacts are made via email or mobile phone.
To use Network Reigatian Sixth Formers fill in an enquiry form, available from the Foundation and Alumni Office during school hours (1st floor, Cornwallis). We search our database and provide details of matching links - usually within a couple of days. The Sixth Former can then contact the university student(s) in his or her own time.
We ask all our Sixth Form leavers to join Network Reigatian in their last term at school so that we can continue to provide up-to-date links.
If you are a Reigatian currently at university and you have not already joined Network Reigatian, please contact the Foundation & Alumni Office or download the application form here.
Business links
We encourage Reigatians who are working to join Network Reigatian to offer:
- advice and information about your profession or industry, usually via email although you may be able to offer face-to-face and telephone conversations as well
- work experience opportunities and internships (paid or unpaid) for university students and recent graduates where possible
If you feel you might be able to support RGS as a Network Reigatian Business Link, please contact the Foundation & Alumni Office or download the application form here.
Help our Careers Department
Reigatians can also help our current pupils by becoming involved in activities organised by our Careers Department:
- speaking to senior pupils at lunch time and after school talks
- providing work experience for Lower 6th pupils. Each year we place over 100 pupils in an area of employment that is potentially of interest to them during the first week of the summer holidays
- help with our Careers Convention – an annual evening where pupils from the 4th to Upper 6th Forms are encouraged to talk face-to-face with representatives from a wide range of careers
If you think you might be able to help in these ways, please contact the Foundation & Alumni Office: foundation@reigategrammar.org
