The Foundation and Alumni Office exists to support the development of Reigate Grammar School and promote the friendship of all Reigatians. The Reigatian community includes current and former pupils, parents, staff, governors and friends of the school – all, in fact, for whom the school is, or has been, an important part of their lives.
The aims of the Foundation and Alumni Office are to:
- inform and engage the friends of Reigate Grammar School (The Reigatian Community) and to increase their number
- aid the School by channelling philanthropic support and giving
- provide you with opportunities to maintain your friendship with the School and with one another.
We fulfil these aims through our core objectives which are to:
- facilitate friendship through events and reunions
- keep everyone informed through mailings, publications and this website
- offer university/career advice/opportunities through Network Reigatian
- welcome friends and visitors both new and old to the school.
Why does Reigate Grammar School need to raise funds?
The challenge of maintaining our reputation and position of being one of the leading co-educational schools in the country is a significant one. As we do not have any appreciable endowment to call upon we rely heavily upon parental fees. We wish to invest in modern facilities and talented teachers to attract the brightest and most able students. Some of the greatest cost pressures include an expanding bursary programme, the modernisation of our facilities, and the provision of educational resources through the growing curriculum.
How can I/we help the RGS Foundation?
There are many ways by which you can support the work of the Foundation. Involvement could range from volunteering your time and skills, to direct beneficiation through financial donation. We are very grateful to all those who have supported us in the past and continue to do so now. Thus, whatever your interests, we are very keen to hear from you.
