Stripey Stork Book Bag project…

Stripey Stork are a local charity who collect new and pre-loved items for babies and children (equipment, clothes, furniture, books and toys) and distribute them to local families in need with support from local health professionals e.g. health visitors, social workers and women’s refuges. Started by two RSM mums, this charity has been able to respond to over 1100 requests for help in two years and see £750k worth of baby items passed back into the local community (www.stripeystork.org.uk @StripeyStork).

As part of our World Book Day celebrations we are supporting the Stripey Stork ‘Book Bag’ project by organising a school collection of good condition books for babies and children from 0-13 years. These will be sorted by age suitability and then used to fill book bags that Stripey Stork can pass on to local children. Further details of the collection times will be provided after the half term holidays, but if you would be able to use the break to have a sort out of any good quality books your children no long-er need, that would be very helpful. Thank you.
