Headmaster’s Roundup 24 March 2016
The holidays have arrived again and this short half term of just four and a half weeks has flown by. But it has been as packed a half term as any I can remember, culminating in the brilliant Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Huge congratulations go to the children for such professionalism and to the team of staff who worked so hard to make the three performances so good. Of course the biggest thanks goes to Mrs MacPherson for directing the show so magnificently and for giving the children such a great experience.
On Monday morning we were all entertained once more as all three dance groups, who performed at the Harlequin on 8 March, danced for the whole school at the start of the assembly.
Last Thursday Year 4 had a fun and slightly daunting day out as Victorian children. They travelled back in time to see what life was like for children of their great, great, grandparents’ generation—so I hope they appreciate how life has changed! Thanks to Mrs Gibson and Ms White for organising the day.
We enjoyed a splendid Lower School Easter Service on Wednesday morning where the children sang, read and played instruments ever so well and as I write we are preparing for the final event, the Upper School Easter service which will be a fitting end to a very successful term.
I hope that you all love your Easter Break and enjoy quality time with your children. I look forward to welcoming them all back on Tuesday 12 April.
