Year 4 Habitats topic….

Year 4 have been enjoying their Habitats topic this term. Last week they brought in pictures of woodlands. In art they created 3D pictures using these and the school environment for inspiration. The school grounds were bathed in sunshine and the children enjoyed exploring many of the hidden corners where plants and wildlife are flourishing.

On Wednesday, they were lucky to have perfect weather again for the first of their visits to local endangered habitats. They spent time walking through ancient woodlands at Felland Copse, where the bluebells looked beautiful. They also visited Earlswood Lakes and were amused to see the male swans being so aggressive to one another. They learned so much during their ‘outdoor lesson’.
