Deputy Head’s Roundup 19 May 2016

On Saturday we had a wonderful evening at the Summer Ball. Our thanks to the FOSMA team for all their hard work which made this event such a success.

As I write, Mr Culverwell and the  Year 6 children are having a wonderful time on their week long trip to Snowdonia. They have been enjoying fantastic outdoor activities and on Wednesday they climbed to the top of Snowdon, an amazing achievement! We look forward to hearing all about their adventures when they return on Friday.

Year 4 also had an overnight adventure last Thursday when they visited Henley Fort in Guildford. They enjoyed developing their risk-taking and teamwork skills whilst enjoying such activities as canoeing, climbing, bouldering, archery and orienteering. They were lucky to have beautiful weather and the teachers were proud of the way they made the most of the fantastic activities on offer.

Year 4 were out and about on another habitat trip on Wednesday, this time to Stagbury Downs near Banstead. The wet weather did not deter the group from enjoying the visit and the children saw lots of amazing Roman snails and several other interesting plants and creatures.

Finally, it was a treat to see the Kindergarten assembly on Wednesday. The children sang beautifully and everyone really enjoyed the story of the Gingerbread Man.
