Year 1 visit Chessington….
Year 1 had a fabulous time at Chessington on Tuesday.
They enjoyed a fun session in the Education Centre where they learnt some little known facts about some of their favourite animals. They played a brilliant “smells” game and were so good at matching mystery objects to the correct animals.
A well deserved lunch in the shade was followed by a trip around the King’s Trail where the children were delighted to see lions, tigers and many more beautiful big cats.
Next on the agenda was a walk through the Aquarium where the children could ‘feel’ the shrimps and see all the wonderful sea life that lives beneath our oceans.
As the day drew to a close the first drops of rain appeared and the weary bunch were happy to climb back onto the coach just before the rain started in earnest.
It was a great day and a lovely way to bring their Animals topic to life.
