An amazing hundred and fifty RSM children Run Reigate……..
It was a fantastic morning for Reigate St Mary’s runners on Sunday as 152 competed in Run Reigate. Their ages ranged from 5 years to 12 years and we are so pleased that so many embraced the challenge. There were several sets of siblings who completed the course as did our very own Trainee Teacher, Tim Austin.
A group of children ran in brightly coloured costumes for Stripey Stork and we are delighted that they took part in aid of such a worthwhile charity.
Headmaster, Marcus Culverwell said ‘Not only is it an event organised by a former Reigate St Mary’s and current Reigate Grammar School parent, but we have always advocated the importance of sport, healthy eating and fitness and to have so many families wanting to get involved shows that these values are embraced across the school community’.
The Head of Sport, Rob Forsyth said ‘the children worked really hard last term to complete the individual miles at school and home. It was great to see them completing the distance on Sunday. I am proud of them all’.
