Year 6 have a wonderful time at Hampton Court…..
Year 6 set off in high spirits to Hampton Court to learn more about their topic on The Tudors. They had wonderful weather and were able to spend some time outside in the very beautiful gardens as well as inside the palace and the real tennis courts. The staff were very knowledgable and more than happy to answer the children’s questions on the way ( although most of them were about ghost sightings on the silver stairs)
The drama workshop ‘Young Henry’ was very good, a different insight to the youthful king rather than the old grumpy one which is mainly depicted in history. The children got to act out Le chateaux Vert, and really enjoyed bringing The Tudors to life. Their teacher, Richard, was so interesting and entertaining and the children gained so much knowledge from him.
Staff and pupils had a wonderful day.
