Year 4 enjoy a trip to a Hindu temple……

Year 4 had a great time visiting the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir in Neasdon, London. They worked hard completing some tough activity sheets about the Hindu faith in the ‘Understanding Hinduism’ exhibition. As part of this they had to practice standing on one leg to mimic a painting of one of the gods and we timed them to see how long they could manage this. Well done to Bridget B on lasting a whole 2 minutes

on one leg! Year 4 then took part in a traditional ‘arti’ or ceremony where they saw some beautifully ornate shrines to the Hindu gods and listened to traditional chants. They behaved very well and represented the school very well. Thank you also to our parent helper Mr Grant and to Mrs Nicholson and Mr Williams who stepped in at the last minute to help.
