Headmaster’s Roundup 2 February 2017
Congratulations to James C and Ryan P who became Probationers at last Friday’s Promotions Matins Service. Both boys sang excellent solo parts in front of a large congregation, proving their high standards and commitment to the Reigate Grammar School Godfrey Searle Choir.
This week we have enjoyed a visit from Perform Theatre Company working with children in the Lower School, getting their creative juices flowing and their imaginations working together. Thanks goes to our parents association, FOSMA, for funding this event.
We also had a visit from Simon Canacott to Year 4 sharing his amazing artistic talents and some fascinating techniques within an interactive, hands-on workshop. Green Shoots and Kindergarten have been celebrating Chinese New Year and being very creative in the process. So it has been a fun week across the school.
On Wednesday afternoon our U10 and U11 rugby teams performed brilliantly in all their matches. This was particularly impressive as the U11s played in a triangular against Caterham and Aberdour (both strong sides) and the As and Bs won all of their games. As you can imagine, Mr Forsyth was delighted!
Thank you to the FOSMA team and members of staff who supported them, in running the Cinema afternoon last Saturday. This was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by all of the children who came along.
