Headmaster’s Roundup 23 March 2017

Last weekend, the Years 5 and 6 show, Robin and his Sherwood Hoodies, was superb. I saw all four performances and enjoyed every moment of each. Parents, Grandparents and friends were, without exception, impressed with the standards of acting and singing and by the sheer entertainment which the children brought us. Huge congratulations to the whole cast, to Mrs MacPherson and the entire team who pulled the show together.
Our Reception children had glorious weather with wall to wall sunshine as they headed off on their trip to Drusilla’s Park this week.
Special congratulations go to Bjorn M who played in the English Primary School Chess Competition, Southern Country Zone Competition. The Surrey U11 team won the competition and have now advanced to the National Final in May. Bjorn won all 3 matches he played.
In our assembly on Monday morning we had beautiful singing as well as performances from our ensemble and dancers. A really rewarding assembly, showing off the prowess of our hard working pupils. Well done to all of them!
We are looking forward to Red Nose Day tomorrow and congratulations to the winners of the Red Nose Competition run by our Values Leaders. The best names were:
Lower School Sophie L with Nosey Posey, Middle School joint winners Jacob L with Mr Woofie Winkle and Aime M with Mr Oinkinstine and Upper School Hannah Brewer with Eye nose best.
The winners of the best nose design can be seen displayed in the School Office window and were: Lower School Alannah H, Middle School Holly D and Upper School Emma M.
