Reception children hope for rain……

Reception children are enjoying learning all about earthworms. Last week, armed with trowels, forks, magnifying glasses and water, they set off to our lovely nature reserve on a worm hunt. However, the ground is just so dry at the moment that it was very difficult to find any! They enjoyed digging around and found all sorts of interesting insects. Eventually they did find two lovely earthworms. They put them in a box with damp soil so everyone could have a close look and then gave them some water and put them back.

So, hoping for more luck next time, unlike most people, in Reception we hope it rains soon!!
