The Fire Service visit Kindergarten and Green Shoots….
Kindergarten and Green Shoots had exciting visitors today. Firemen from the Surrey Fire Service paid them a visit in their big, red fire engine. The truck pulled up near the Sports Hall and the children had a chance to climb inside and see the blue lights flashing. Then they each had a turn with the hose and were able to imagine what it would be like to be a real fireman. Next they learnt all about how to ring for help in an emergency and the importance of having a smoke alarm in every house. They were shown the special suit the firemen have to wear if they go into a burning building, to help them breathe.
Thank you so much to the Surrey Fire Service for a fantastic morning.
