Years 1&2 enjoy a fabulous drama workshop…..
Kindergarten, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 were very lucky to have a visit from the Hobgoblin Theatre Company this week. Everyone gathered in the Sports Hall and the children were treated to a brilliant version of Hansel and Gretel. Afterwards, Years 1 and 2 enjoyed a drama workshop. First they had a hilarious time warming up their faces. They made angry and sad faces, wiggled their cheeks and generally loosened themselves up. Next, they practiced pretending to be trees blowing in the wind, stinging nettles and flowers; anything that could be found in a forest. They learnt how to make evil eyes and to stand like statues pretending to be their favourite fairy-tale characters. There were villains and heroes, goodies and baddies, mermaids and witches. The children’s acting skills were amazing!
