Reception enjoy a Minibeast Day
Reception had a fabulous ‘Minibeast Day’ in the sunshine. We were busy first thing, using our creative skills to make minibeast themed headbands. After break, we donned our headdresses and set off in search of some actual minibeasts, equipped with pots, paintbrushes and magnifying glasses. It took a while but our persistence paid off as we discovered millipedes, earwigs, beetles and woodlice to name but a few! ‘Art in the Park’ (on the sports field) followed with the children using natural materials to make their own minibeast pictures. Back in the classroom we used clay to make model snails – we can’t wait for them to dry so that we can paint them. We all had tremendous fun and thoroughly enjoyed our busy day!
