Kindergarten’s topic on ‘Ourselves’
Kindergarten have had a wonderful start to the year learning all about their topic ‘Ourselves’. The children have been enjoying using their creative skills to create pictures of their families and self-portraits. They have been talking about ‘Ourselves’ in circle times, discussing their bodies and their likes and dislikes. They enjoyed having Mr Culverwell visit with his guitar and singing ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’ with him. Hopefully he will come back soon to sing more songs. As as ‘Stunning Start’ to the term they have been guessing whose baby picture belongs to who and there was lots of excitement when the true identities were revealed. The children especially enjoyed looking at their teachers’ baby pictures. They are now moving onto reading Elmer, and discussing the similarities and differences.
