Year 1 visit Wisley…
Year 1 visited Wisley Gardens yesterday to support their Combined Humanities topic of ‘The Wild and Wonderful World’. The weather was just perfect which was a good thing as the children spent virtually the whole day outside observing the seasonal changes to the garden. Our Wisley teacher, Kyle was incredibly impressed with the children’s prior knowledge and understanding but during their time with him they used their senses to acquire lots of new facts including identifying the world’s largest species of trees, the evergreen Sequoia and the fact that it could live up to 3,000 years!
We were so proud of the children during the day as their behaviour was exemplary and we received many compliments from the members of the public to this effect. Well done, a super first trip in Year One.
