Sports Roundup 9 November….

An exciting week of sport began with the fantastic Surrey Plate quarter-final win by the Colts A football team against Micklefield last Friday. They will now be facing Aldro in the semi-final tomorrow afternoon. An excellent achievement! Then on Saturday, the U11A boys played in the Caterham tournament on Saturday morning. Despite the horrendous weather, the boys played very well but unfortunately lost in the plate semi-final. There was more football success on Tuesday when the boys U8A team beat Chinthurst.
There was success for the girls too when the U9A and B girls hockey teams won their matches against Micklefield on Tuesday and the U11 hockey teams had some impressive results yesterday, winning 3 out of their 5 matches in the triangular fixture against Hawthorns and Micklefield.
This afternoon the girls U9A hockey team are competing in the Lingfield hockey tournament and the boys U9A team will be playing their last football fixtures of the term against Hawthorns and Caterham. Tomorrow the U11A girls compete in the East Grinstead Hockey tournament. Best of luck to all involved.
Congratulations to Joe, Annis-Clara, Olivia and Kate who won Sports Person of the Month at the Achievement assembly today. Also, special congratulations to Esaam who has been selected to play in the Gothia Youth World Cup 2018 in Sweden in July. A fantastic achievement!
A reminder that this week marks the end of the football season and Rugby starts next week. So please make sure your children have their mouthguards and rugby kit.
