A busy week for the RGS Godfrey Searle Choristers..

Polyphony and the RGS Godfrey Searle Choir were invited to sing at the beautiful Holy Trinity Church in Sloane Square, on Sunday 4 February. It was exciting to be in central London, singing in a stunning building with cathedral like proportions and acoustics. The service was a real success and there were many compliments from the clergy and the resident musical director, who strongly encouraged a repeat visit next year.

The choristers were once again performing at the RGS Choral Recital the following Tuesday. This concert showcased all RGS choirs and also involved the RGS Godfrey Searle choristers, including the new girl choristers from both RSM and RGS. The turnout for this concert was very pleasing and students were able to perform to a packed audience of enthusiastic parents.
During the day, the choirs benefitted from expertise and inspiration given to them by Nigel Short, conductor of the internationally renowned choir, ‘Tenebrae’ as they took part in choral workshops. Four singers from ‘Tenebrae’ also contributed to the concert, having supported students throughout the afternoon with their first class singing and finally joining forces with the Godfrey Searle Choir to raise the roof with a couple of beautiful anthems
