Sports Roundup 21 March 2018
It’s been a busy final week of fixtures for the term. The Year 2 boys and girls (with the help of some Year 3 boys) travelled to Hawthorns on Friday for a Football and Netball training session. A very enjoyable afternoon for all involved. Also on Friday the Year 5 & 6 boys competed in the House Hockey competition with Hobson finishing as the overall winners!
On Tuesday, the U8A Rugby team played in the Pennthorpe rugby festival finishing 2ndoverall after winning 4 matches and drawing 2. Yesterday, the girls’ Colts A, B and C Netball teams played Hawthorns with the A’s winning, B’s drawing and the C’s losing narrowly. An excellent way to finish the term. The U11 Rugby boys were also in action against Banstead Prep School. The A’s put in a spirited performance but lost after a very impressive second half performance and the B’s played their best rugby of the season, finishing with a very good win. The U10 Rugby boys also played Chinthurst yesterday but were beaten in the A’s and B’s by an unbeaten Chinthurst side and the C’s managed a draw in their last game. This afternoon, whilst everyone else enjoys watching the dress rehearsal, the U9 Rugby teams are playing their re-arranged fixtures against Chinthurst and will be hoping to finish the season with 2 wins after some excellent performances last week.
