Success at the Reigate and Redhill Music Festival

Three of Reigate St Mary’s school choirs performed in The Reigate and Redhill Music festival on 8 May 2018. The adjudicator, Karen Gibson, praised all three performances highly, commenting on the clarity of sound, use of dynamics and complicated part singing from all three choirs. She was also most impressed not only at the standard of the singing but also the number of children we have at school who sing in a choir. The children all enjoyed having an opportunity to perform and we could not have been more proud.  Year 1 Choir were awarded a merit star, Year 2 Choir and our Senior Choir (Years 5&6) were both awarded honours with Year 2 Choir winning their class for the second consecutive year. Well done to all the children involved!
