Sports Roundup 7 June 2018

Welcome back. We hope you all enjoyed your half term break. We have had a number of fixtures already this week with the U8 girls rounders teams  all in action on Tuesday. The A’s had a fantastic win against Micklefield. The B’s lost, although were playing against a strong U9 B team and the C’s are continuing to improve despite losing to a tough opposition. Yesterday, the U10 rounders teams played Caterham. There was success for the U10B team, winning by 5 1/2 rounders! The Colts A cricket team were beaten yesterday by a very strong Homefield side. There was some excellent bowling on display, particularly from the Year 5’s but some poor shot selection and early wickets meant RSM were unable to chase the total set by Homefield. Congratulations to the Colts B team who won a hard fought game in the final over of the match.
The KG and Green Shoots sports events went very well this morning. The Lower school Sports day has had to be postponed until Monday due to heavy rain. Children should come to school in their sports kit as they did today. They will have lessons and lunch as normal and races will recommence at 2pm. We hope to see you there.

Tomorrow morning the Year 5 and 6 boys and girls set off for Taunton for the Cricket and Rounders tour. Please follow our progress on twitter for all up to date results and photos. Best of luck to all involved and enjoy.
