A Bee Keeper visits reception..

On Tuesday, Reception were visited by a Bee Keeper as part of their topic, ‘Yum! Yum!’, all about food.  The children learnt how bees collect pollen and make honey. Mr Gallo brought part of a beehive for the children to look at and a suit worn by bee keepers to keep them safe from bee stings.  He even brought some real bees, although thankfully they were safely contained so they could be observed but could not get out!  Reception listened really carefully to Mr Gallo’s talk and remembered lots of facts  – well done Reception!
