Sports Roundup 29 November 2018

Last Thursday, the U9 Hockey girls played Hawthorns. There was some excellent Hockey on display with 3 fantastic wins for the A, B and D teams and a narrow 2-1 defeat for the C team. The U9 girls continued their excellent form with two teams of Year 4 girls who played at the St Teresa’s sixes hockey tournament competing at St Teresa’s on Saturday.  Both teams played with determination and excellent teamwork.  The B team fought hard in all of their matches and should be proud of their focus and efforts.  The A team had a very tough first match against Downsend which they drew and followed on with three good wins.  Their game play improved with each match and this resulted in them winning the tournament.  Many congratulations to them and  a big thank you to all of the parents who came along and cheered during every match.

This week, the U11 Hockey girls were in action against Micklefield, with the A’s and B’s both winning their matches convincingly. After working hard in Games lessons last week, U10 and U11 Rugby boys enjoyed their first rugby matches of the year against Caterham. There were 2 very close draws in the U11A’s and U10B’s and despite coming second best in the U10A’s and U11B’s, the boys really learnt a lot which will put them in good stead for the upcoming season.

This afternoon, the U9 A and B rugby teams play their first matches of the term against Caterham and on Saturday morning, the U11 girls are taking part in the St Teresa’s U11 Hockey tournament. Good luck to everyone involved
