Year 4 visit G Live..

Year 4 were treated to a fabulous concert on Wednesday afternoon at G Live by Southern Pro Musica. This professional orchestra perform annual children’s concerts all over the country giving children an opportunity to hear what a classical orchestra can do ‘live’. The programme consisted of not only an orchestra playing compositions by some of the world’s greatest composers, both old and new but also a magician performing numerous tricks including pulling a loaf of bread out of an oboe! Unfortunately no one from Reigate St Mary’s was chosen to go on stage to participate this year but you can see from the photo that this didn’t dampen our spirits and our singing in the final audience participation song ‘It’s An Ark’, written by the conductor Jonathan Wilcox, was the best in the house, even if I say so myself!
