Year 1 Castle Topic..

As part of their Castles topic, Year 1 have been learning about some of the weapons that knights would have used in battle. They collected twigs from the Bund and returned to the classroom to make a bow with arrows, a weapon that was highly effective in many of the battles fought! They worked hard to overcome the challenges of making such a weapon which included listening to and following instructions on tying tight knots, choosing the right kind of stick and then choosing the right length stick to match the arrow to their bow. Then they went back out on the Bund to defend the fort!
