Remembrance

We commemorated Remembrance Day throughout the school by learning about how important it is for us to reflect and remember those who are serving in the armed forces and those who lost their lives. We made poppies and created some beautiful poppy art. Year 6 went to lay poppies on some of the war graves in St Mary’s churchyard at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month – the sound of the last post being played at RGS echoed across the churchyard and the pupils stood in quiet reflection beside the graves of those who died in war. We also watched RSM’s virtual Remembrance Service.
