Sports Days 2021

As the Summer term drew to a close, the RSM annual House Sports Days took place across several days and (as always) in varying types of British summertime weather! Our littlest children in Green Shoots and Kindergarten enjoyed wonderful sunshine for their sack races and obstacle courses followed by a delicious picnic provided by our caterers. Ice-creams and cold drinks were welcomed by everyone as families enjoyed a relaxing few hours on the sports field.

Afterwards, it was the turn of the Lower School children to run, throw, jump and catch in a bid to earn points for their respective Houses. Teachers and children alike had a fantastic time and the afternoon culminated  in every child taking part in an immense House relay. The rain stayed away and the day was a huge success.

The Upper School children were not so lucky with the weather and the event had to be moved to a reserve date the following week due to torrential rain. When the day finally arrived the weather was a perfect mix of mild sunshine and cloud which allowed a full programme of track and field events to take place without anyone getting too hot or soaking wet! House events are always highly competitive at RSM and as usual, the sound of the children cheering for their House team mates could be heard across the boarder in Kent (nearly)!

A short video of the Upper School Sports Day can be seen below along with a selection of photos from all the sports events.
