RSM Gardening Mission – Wildflowers

At RSM the children have been made aware of the importance of rewilding and creating areas and conditions to boost biodiversity. With this in mind, an area at school was chosen to become rewilded.

The new ‘Gardening Mission’ was delivered to every class in the school in bright green bucket containing a mixture of wildflowers and sand, it was placed in a prominent position in each classroom to encourage curiosity within the children. The bucket had a map and a QR code attached that linked to a video presentation from the Eco Committee members.

This week saw many classes taking up the challenge to increase the biodiversity on school grounds and doing their bit to change a barren piece of land into a garden of wildflowers!
