#RSMFridayFastFive – Mrs Tully

Why did you choose a career working with children?

Although I hadn’t planned to go into teaching, after volunteering in my children’s school I realised that working with children in some capacity was what I wanted to do.

Your favourite subjects at school?

I always enjoyed Performing Arts (although I can’t sing!)

Favourite time of year at holiday club?

Christmas. There is such a buzz around the children and staff! We always have so many fun activities planned at holiday club and this year we have a Christmas bouncy castle for both Lower and Upper School to enjoy.

Most memorable moment in your school career?

I used to teach the dance club at RSM and I would have to say that taking 130 children to perform at The Harlequin was amazing! Seeing children who had never performed before taking themselves out of their comfort zone was a very proud moment.

I’m hoping that the mini discos we are having at extended day will encourage all the children to dance like no one’s watching!

My favourite quote:

When life gives you lemons, make orange juice!
