Outreach Tea Party

One of the most heart warming events of the year is when RSM and the Godfrey Searle Choir host an afternoon tea for senior members of our local community. This is a lovely thing to do, but it’s also our way of thanking the older generation for all of the years that they poured themselves into our communities, which of course mould our society; a safe and successful society that we all enjoy today.

Around 75 people attended the tea on Thursday afternoon and enjoyed terrific singing by the choir,  followed by some joint singing of classics from our visitor’s younger days – and they really sung with great gusto!  They also enjoy conversations with our young choristers, who are always so polite and welcoming, engaging in conversation with great maturity.  A big thank you to Mrs Nicholson, who organises these events and to Mrs Glynne-Jones, without whom this high-quality choral music simply wouldn’t happen.
