Information for Parents

Early Years Foundation Stage includes Green Shoots, Kindergarten and Reception.

Spring Term 2017

Yet again we have a busy half term ahead and further information can be found in the class letters and curriculum jigsaws, for those of you who are new we have produced a help sheet, please follow the link below. Do keep an eye on the online calendar, this half term we have Parents’ Evenings, Open Classrooms and Mothers’ Day celebrations as well as our usual Easter celebrations. For weekly information we provide a ‘What’s On’ sheet which details what is happening in each class that week; it may also help if the response from your offspring to the question ‘What did you do at school today?’ is ‘Nothing!’ All this information can be found on the website. Also, please do not  forget to follow us on Twitter (@rsmearlyyears), where we post photos on a day to day basis to give you a little insight into what goes on behind the closed doors of the classrooms.

We wish you all a wonderful start to the term and please do not hesitate to pop in to chat if you require any further information.

Illness
What if my child becomes ill in Green Shoots, Kindergarten and Reception?
If your child becomes ill a member of the office staff will call you to explain what has happened and to ask you to come and collect your child as soon as possible.

It may be necessary to keep your child in a quiet place away from the other children to prevent the spread of viruses. Our quiet places tend to be in the office. A member of staff will stay with your child until you are able to arrive.

The school does follow exclusion guidelines from the health protection agency. These guidelines are placed on the notice board and apply to illnesses that are infectious.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Testimonials...

When my children get up in the morning, they want to go to school. I never had that at their last school.

Throughout the school, all pupils are confident, articulate and emotionally mature for their age.
