Year 5 Residential

Year 5 were blessed with incredible weather for their residential trip to Bowles Outdoor Activity Centre this half term. One of the best things about Bowles is how much their ethos matches our own: protect the environment, reduce carbon footprint and be our best self. It was a privilege for the staff to see how our children took on the many challenges faced from putting on a duvet cover to climbing rocks that are 135 million years old. Kayaking was another highlight; despite the air being warm – the water was freezing!  After each skiing session there was the fun of sledging, to be honest the teachers seemed to enjoy this more than the kids!

The final afternoon found us all on site completing team challenges – despite some very tired children, it was wonderful to see great teamwork including collaboration and cooperation.

A huge thank you to the incredible team of instructors at Bowles who include Olympians and World Championship contenders.
