Godfrey Searle Choir – Cathedral Trip to St Albans

The RGS Polyphony and the choristers of the Godfrey Searle Choir spent a weekend singing services at St Albans Cathedral over the Easter holidays. The building is stunning and the organ world class, frequently used in the most prestigious organ competition in Europe. Our students were afforded the opportunity to sing two choral evensongs and one Eucharistic Mass in these splendid surroundings, also enjoying some down time in beautiful St Albans under rare, cloudless skies. The Dean of St Albans was kind enough to compliment the choir and reported that she would be ‘thrilled’ if we wanted to return, which is a very tempting offer as it was such a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
