The School Community
We have a wonderful school community which thrives and grows!
This is as a result of:
- Genuine partnerships – we value meaningful relationships with parents and are always available to talk whenever questions or worries arise. Our open door approach to relationships with families, parent’s evenings, regular Open Classrooms and class Assemblies give families the opportunity to share in their children’s learning.
- A warm welcome – from Grandparents Mornings to Sports Days and musical performances to dance shows, we love to welcome parents and friends to help celebrate the children’s achievements.
- A vibrant parents association – Friends of St Mary’s Association (or FOSMA for short) arrange a host of activities during the year which are enjoyed by everyone. They have recently launched SMaSH (St Mary’s Social Hub) and parents regularly get together to dog walk, go for a run or just meet socially.
- The wider community – we value being part of the local area and helping others, so our outreach programme is designed around the importance of giving. Our children sing at tea time concerts, visit elderly residents and get involved with local initiatives, all part of helping and sharing with the local community.
We are so happy with the school and our children always come out smiling having thoroughly enjoyed their day. Thank for you all you do!

Beyond School – Reigate is a vibrant town with excellent train links to London as well as being close to the M25. It has been voted one of the best places to live in the UK on a number of occasions. Outside of school, most of our families enjoy the parks and green spaces close to the town centre as well as taking part in the local sports clubs such as Old Reigatians and Reigate Priory Hockey Club which are hubs of friendships for parents and children outside of the school.
Pupils prosper greatly within a culture where they are encouraged to contribute positively to the school, the local community and wider society.
