This week, the children in Year 3 have been busy designing and building their own Roman villas using recycled boxes and materials brought from home. They explored the different rooms found in a traditional Roman villa, learning their Latin names and investigating how each space was used. They also studied Roman murals and mosaics, comparing the art and layout of ancient homes with those we see today. The finished villas demonstrated wonderful creativity, thoughtful design choices, and a brilliant understanding of Roman life.
