Rugby
The U11A boys kicked off their season in style at the Hawthorns Rugby Festival on Saturday. Despite the miserable weather, they delivered an impressive performance, scoring multiple tries and showcasing outstanding defensive play with some superb tackles. Thank you to the parent who sent in some lovely feedback to Mr Forsyth - "Thanks for coaching the boys at the Hawthorns festival this weekend. Despite having only just transitioned from football, I thought that they played fantastically well and really worked together as a team."
We agree - the team finished with four wins and two narrow defeats - a fantastic start to the season!

The rugby action continued throughout the week with practice matches for all year groups. On Tuesday, the U8s travelled to Caterham for their first taste of competitive rugby, learning a great deal along the way. Wednesday saw the U10s and U11s face Hawthorns, while Thursday was the turn of the U9s against Caterham.
The U9s also enjoyed their first experience of contact rugby in training matches. Their enthusiasm was evident, and their tackling was excellent – as proven by the very muddy kits... sorry, parents! They showed great confidence carrying the ball at speed and finding strong positions. Plenty more fixtures await after Christmas, and we can’t wait to see how the season develops!
Netball
The U10 girls opened their netball season on Wednesday with a strong showing against Chinthurst. The A team dominated early, scoring four quick goals and then defending brilliantly to secure a well-deserved win. The B team took longer to settle but showed fantastic resilience, closing the gap steadily and shining in an excellent third quarter where they netted five goals.
