Year 4 had a fantastic time on their overnight trip to Juniper Hall. Throughout the visit, the children showed great enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork as they took part in a range of outdoor learning activities.
One of the highlights of the trip was learning how to start a fire using natural resources found in the environment. The children also learned more about the geographical features of the local area, exploring Box Hill and developing their understanding of the landscape around them. They enjoyed taking part in an orienteering challenge, where they used maps and teamwork skills to navigate their way around the site.
Another memorable activity was mammal trapping. The children carefully checked humane traps and had the exciting opportunity to observe mice and voles up close before safely releasing them back into their natural habitat.
It was wonderful to see the children working so well in groups and collaborating with classmates they may not normally work alongside. They represented the school brilliantly, embraced every challenge and created many lasting memories during their time at Juniper Hall.
