The U11 girls’ squad enjoyed a bright start to their trip to Caterham, heading off in glorious sunshine - and despite a brief appearance from some grey clouds, the weather quickly played its part in what turned out to be an excellent afternoon of cricket.
Across all three matches, the standard of play was outstanding. The girls delivered consistently accurate bowling, claiming plenty of wickets along the way, while slick fielding and superb backing up created real pressure and resulted in several well-earned run outs.
With the bat, the teams impressed just as much. Boundaries flowed freely, including a number of confident fours - and even a few impressive sixes! These big shots were complemented by sharp running between the wickets, turning good play into great scores.
This fantastic set of results is a testament to the squad’s hard work and commitment to developing their skills. A huge well done to everyone involved - three excellent wins and a performance to be proud of.
