It’s been an action-packed week for our young athletes, filled with skill, resilience, and plenty of excitement!
U10 Girls Hockey – Downsend Tournament
On Saturday, our U10 girls took part in the Downsend Hockey Tournament. After a slightly hesitant start, the team grew in confidence as the morning progressed. A standout moment was their impressive win against Downsend by two goals, followed by a thrilling comeback against Notre Dame - turning a 0-2 deficit into a 3-3 draw! Fantastic determination and teamwork throughout - well done, girls!
Swimming Gala – U8–U11 vs Caterham Prep
Tuesday saw superb performances in the pool as our U8–U11 swimmers competed against Caterham Prep. Every pupil took part in individual races and relays, showing great team spirit. A special mention goes to our Year 3 swimmers, who were taking part in their very first gala - what an achievement! The scores were close, and although we finished as runners-up, the effort and enthusiasm were outstanding.
U10A Hockey – UKSA Tournament
On Wednesday, the U10A team returned to action at the UKSA Hockey Tournament. They played with determination, winning all their group games to reach the semi-finals. After a nail-biting draw, the match was decided by a shuffle competition, where they were unlucky to lose to Bedes. Despite the result, the team displayed brilliant skill and superb teamwork - an excellent performance all round.
Year 6 Girls Hockey – UKSA & Surrey Tournaments
Our Year 6 girls rounded off their hockey season with two major tournaments: UKSA at Burgess Hill and the Surrey Tournament. In both events, they reached the cup semi-finals - a fantastic achievement! The team showed great attacking play and worked tirelessly, even if converting chances into goals proved tricky. Well done to all the players for their commitment and energy.
