It has been a busy and exciting week of sport across the school, with pupils showing great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination in a range of fixtures and festivals.
On Wednesday, our Under 11 C team took part in a triangular match against Homewood House and Hazelwood. The girls produced some excellent performances, with noticeable improvements in movement and passing down the court. It was encouraging to see their growing confidence and teamwork in action – well done to all involved.
Despite challenging weather conditions, our Year 3 boys showed real resilience on Tuesday as they braved the rain to play rugby against Surbiton. All teams demonstrated fantastic determination and commitment, particularly with their tag tackling. The C team enjoyed an exciting, high-scoring match, finishing with an impressive 11–11 draw.
Meanwhile, our Year 5 pupils were invited by Reigate Grammar School, alongside fellow members of the RGS family, Chinthurst and Micklefield, to attend a hockey festival at Hartswood. The day included a variety of training activities led by RGS’s expert hockey coaches, followed by a series of matches and the chance to socialise with partner schools over food. Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable day, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the RGS Sports Department for their excellent coaching, hospitality and ongoing support.
