The children in Kindergarten have loved settling into their new classrooms, meeting their teachers, reconnecting with old friends, and making lots of new ones too. We've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each child through our Stunning Start activities.
One of the highlights of the week was our Special Share Bag activity. Each child brought in a bag filled with five special items from home—ranging from toys and books to family photos and treasured keepsakes. It was such a joy to hear the children explain why they chose each item, celebrating the fact that just like their selections, every child is unique and special.
To continue our theme of self-discovery, the children created beautiful self-portraits. They spent time looking closely in the mirror, thinking about the colours, shapes, and features that make them who they are, before carefully painting their portraits.
What a great start to the term!
