This week the children in Kindergarten have absolutely loved diving into the magical world of Whatever Next!, inspired by Baby Bear’s exciting adventure to the moon. Our classroom was transformed as a very special spaceship touched down for the week, sparking imaginations and inviting the children to become brave astronauts!
The children designed and created their own space passports and astronaut helmets, carefully preparing for their important mission. Before setting off on our mission, we learned a fun fact about each planet and brought our learning to life through movement. We crouched down small like Mercury, got very hot on Venus, searched carefully for possible aliens on Mars, pretended to be blown around in a huge storm on Jupiter, spun round and round like the rings of Saturn, shivered in the cold on Uranus, and blew strong winds on Neptune. The children had so much fun acting out each planet while reinforcing the new facts they had learned.
Then, with helmets on and passports at the ready, we gathered inside our spaceship for a loud and enthusiastic countdown. Blast off! 🚀 We took to space to locate all of the planets, recalling the interesting facts we had learned along the way.✨
