Year 3 have enjoyed a busy and engaging week of learning across the curriculum. In English, the children played a fun prepositions-themed version of Snakes and Ladders. They took turns rolling the dice and moving their counters, and each time they landed on a square they had to use a preposition in a sentence - such as “The cat sat on the chair” or “The mouse crawled under the table.” This lively game kept everyone involved, boosted speaking confidence, and gave pupils plenty of opportunities to practise using prepositions accurately while having fun.

In Science, the children investigated how water is transported through the stem of a plant. After making predictions, they set up a fair test and were delighted to see clear results showing how water travels upwards through the stem. Their excitement and curiosity made for a brilliant practical lesson, helping them deepen their understanding of how plants survive and grow.
A fantastic week of hands‑on learning and teamwork - well done, Year 3!
